The team at Whales Way Restaurant moved to North Straddie, after five and a half very succesful years operating the award winning ‘best restaurant in a winery in Queensland’ for three consecutive years called the BarrelRoom, in the heart of Queensland’s premier wine district on the Granite Belt.
Whilst enjoying seeing the former bussines grow, with an addition of a new family member the team started to look for a slight slow down in lifestyle. To enjoy the time with there young family and began the search for the next stand out destination restaurant with a more concentrated trading period to allow a more enjoyable work life balance.
The menu features standout seafood selected daily from local suppliers, as well as island honey whilst utelizing daily ferry operations to ensure the highest qulity local and imported seasonal produce is avaliable in a fresh produce driven modern austarlian menu for both the al a carte and sand bar offerings.
