The Lake House Denmark

About The Lake House Denmark

The Lake House Denmark is a cellar door, restaurant, cafe, vineyard, winery, function venue and gourmet food store located just 6kms from the town of Denmark in the Great Southern Region, Western Australia (approximately 50kms from the regional City of Albany and 420kms South of Perth). Established and opened by Garry Capelli and Leanne Rogers, The Lake House Denmark opened its doors in September 2006.
OUR REGION
The Great Southern Region is known for its natural environment €“ rugged coastline, white sandy beaches, tall timber forests, wildflowers and wineries. It is a great place to experience nature and a rural lifestyle.

The region is a great place to visit as it is home to some of the most visited attractions in Australias South West €“ the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, Whale World, the National ANZAC Centre as well as the Great Southern Wine Region.

There are also many great places to stay in Denmark and Albany and all places in between.

OUR STORY
In April 2005 we moved to Denmark, Western Australia from Perth and our country lifestyle adventure started. After holidaying in Denmark for over 10 years we fell in love with the region and knew it was the place for us so we purchased a 91.2 acre property with a vineyard. We loved all things €˜country embracing everything there was to do from growing grapes, to starting a veggie garden and riding around on quad bikes.

Our first vintage was released in 2006 and our cellar door was opened. Located down a quaint country road on a picturesque lake we thought people would love to sit by the lake and enjoy a glass of our fabulous wine and of course they needed some food, so our vineyard platters and Vinofood were created.

Now ten years on our wine range has increased to now having four wine ranges with 22 wines. Our gourmet condiment range, Vinofood which utilizes the unique flavours of wine and grapes has grown and we have launched our pure and natural skincare products WineSpa. Our cellar door and restaurant is open 7 days per week from 10am to 5pm, only closed on Christmas Day and we have won numerous national awards for our wines, our food and our venue.

We look forward to sharing everything about The Lake House Denmark, our products, our philosophy and especially our lifestyle.
