Adelaide is surely not the first place that you think of for a dirty weekend away. Well this doesn’t mean that Adelaide doesn’t have great nightlife, it is just different. Adelaide has a very classy and elegant nightlife until 11pm comes round. Then it can get a bit crazy.
In the daytime you can go to wineries is Barossa Valley, Mclaren Vale or even in the Adelaide hills. These are all just an hour away from the action in Adelaide so you can stay in Adelaide and party all though the night. Once the wineries close you can head back to your hotel bar have a couple of cocktails then head out on the town. If you stay in one of these hotels the bars and nightclubs are at your door step.
The one thing you need to know about Adelaide is that all the action is in the city, there are some places like Glenelg and Henley beach that have a bit of action, but most of the time around Hindley st is the place to be.
So make sure you get a hotel close to Hindley St.
Best hotel to party Adelaide? Adelaide is the perfect city to party, but lots of hotels are a bit more conservative. There are some great hotel bars that are great places to pre-drink before it’s clubbing time. Our favourite has to be the Mayfair Hotel, it’s the perfect spot for a luxurious weekend away. It’s close to the action, it has a great and unique rooftop lounge and a cocktail bar.
The Mayfair is the best place for a classy weekend, there are two awesome bars the classy Hennesey rooftop and the Mayflower bar and restaurant. The location of the Mayfair is just perfect, located right next to Rundle Mall which has everything you could need plus you are located at the start of Hindley street where all the bars and nightclubs are.
You will have a great night because you can just walk out of your luxury accommodation and into some of the best bars in Adelaide.
The Pullman is your typical clean, modern hotel. The rooms are well equipped with everything you could need.
The bar downstairs is a good, pretty standard hotel bar, you will find a great range of wines and some cocktails. When stepping outside there are some classic pubs and plenty of wine bars around the corner.
If you want something a bit more budget-friendly, but still in the action Blue Galah is the spot. This hostel has one of the best balconies to kick back, have a beer and people watch. Just a minute walk down the road an you are going to find the best bars and clubs in Adelaide.
You are going to have lot more money to party because this hostel is a lot cheaper than the other accommodation in the neighborhood. You might need to share a room so if you are a loud drunk or don’t like drunks maybe hostels are not too good of a fit.
If La Boca Bar And Grill is not your thing maybe head to Cascades or the Celebrity Lounge. The Stamford has some great spots for pre-drinks and food before your big night of parting.
Also, if you have been hitting the wineries and want to relax a bit before you big night, head up to the rooftop pool. Most Stamford hotels are amazing, but this one has a lot of that Adelaide class without the snobbery.
Ok, the Playford is not going to suit the young party animals, but for fancy older group of friends the Playford could be the spot. It has a massive classic cocktail lounge and they make some of the best cocktails in Adelaide.
Hotel itself is very grand and the rooms will make you feel like royalty. Once again you are very close to the action.
It’s only a short list because it covers all the price ranges and styles. Listed hotels are in great location. You are going to save on Ubers and do not have to stress about how you are going to get home.
Plus they all have great hotel bars to go for pre-drinks,
