Soul Bird Distilling is a boutique distillery in South Australia that creates a small range of gins. They have started with small batches and can be found locally at the Brewstillery in Willunga. Soul Bird main gin is a new take on the classic London Dry. It is presented in a dark, mysterious packaging to compliment the bright and colorful branding of Shifty Lizard.
Soul Bird started in 2020 during the covid-19 lockdowns. Founders love a good gin and wanted to offer locally produced gin at their then called Taphouse. One of the team members of Shifty Lizard brewing had been distilling his gin for some time and decided to give it a go on a bigger scale.
At the moment, Soul Bird has two gins- New World Dry Gin and Distillers series 1-Sweet Pink Gin. Both of them are unique. New World Dry Gin offers traditional flavor mixed with citrus notes for a crisp, fresh finish. Sweet Pink Gin has a lavender aroma with refreshing floral sweetness delivered by the strawberry gum.
Soul Bird has some early-stage plans for rebranding and potentially looking into new locations. At this stage, we recommend visiting the distillery/brewery at Willunga or ordering a bottle online.
