Death & Co.

The team behind Chicago's @lostlaketiki, a tropical oasis and 2018's Best American Cocktail Bar at @tales_of_the_cocktail, is going on vacation. As the hardworking, creative staff heads to Jamaica (for research purposes, we're sure), Death & Co is lending a helping hand. Join us at Lost Lake in Logan Square for a D&C residency from 3.10-3.14. We'll be slinging our take on tropically-inspired cocktails, a few riffs on D&C classics, a fantastic lineup of snacks and shared plates, and a guaranteed good time. We can't wait to see you there. In order not to jinx it, you didn't hear it here first; however, there are whispers of spring on the horizon. We're appropriately elated, with dreams of ripe tomatoes, fresh strawberries, and warm breezes already in heavy rotation. But, we're also pragmatic realists and are therefore preparing for a long seasonal transition. For days "when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade", reach for one of our Death & Co Market pieces, your ideal layering companions. From t-shirts to fleeces to windbreakers, there's a go-to for every type of spring day. Head to the link in our bio to shop the full line. ... See MoreSee Less

Inspiration can come from anywhere, but we often find ourselves turning to our friends in the kitchen for guidance. Our bartenders work through everything from flavor to texture to balance using many of the same methods that our chefs do, and that culinary perspective is always invaluable. The camaraderie of a kitchen, both in dishes and within a team, is also a key takeaway from the bar; nothing works individually unless everything works together. (📷: @pascalshirley) ...
