H.R. Giger was the creator of the “Alien” itself and the huge part of the concept and landscapes of the movie. After the success of the movie he created several sites like bars and museums in Japan and Switzerland. Bars are loved by Sci-Fi fans mainly because of eye-catching design.
H. R. Giger literally created everything that’s shown both in the bar and museum. The interior of the bar is quite impressive, as it is designed to look like you’re inside of some mythological huge creature. The walls, the chairs, lamps and even the floor were created by Giger himself along with a team of technical experts. All this makes visiting H.R. Giger bar an unique experience.
The H. R. Giger Bar is a definite building-sized piece of art. The whole concept makes you feel like if you’re inside of a monster, or a spaceship, or something alike. Because of this, the feeling is quite unique! There’s no bar like this around the world.
Also, there’s a nice contrast created by the dark decoration all around, and the great service of the bar. You certainly don’t get to drink a beer inside of a monster every day!
There are two H. R. Giger Bars. If the Gruyere’s full-of-bones one isn’t enough, then the super sci-fi futuristic one in Chur, Switzerland, will definitely give you the thrills.
So, don’t worry, nothing will be born out of your belly if you drink a beer at H. R. Giger bar!
