Barossa Distilling Co

Tanunda Road, Nuriootpa South Australia 5355

In August 2017 we opened our Distillery Door Tasting Room & Cocktail Bar. Housed in the Old Penfolds Distillery on the Provenance Barossa site in Nuriootpa, this location has a rich history of Distillation. Our Barossa Gin Distillery is home to some of the oldest commercial stills in Australia, including a Coffey Still, of which there are only three in the world.

The Distillery is a celebration of all things spirits, therefore, we spend a lot of time and effort creating some of the finest cocktails in the Barossa. Be guided through the world of Barossa Distilling Co Spirits with our Gin Tasting Paddle Experiences. Enjoy the step-by-step process of tasting our spirits so you can truly appreciate their flavours and the impact of garnishes and mixers on their flavour.

We also offer tasting paddles of our cocktails, but if spirits arent your thing we have local Barossa wines and beers from smaller producers. All are available to enjoy in the historic Barossa bar or our botanical garden seating area outside.

We offer food all day Friday through Sunday from our neighbours Ember Pizza to enjoy in The Distillery.

The Oldest Pubs In Adelaide

Adelaide, commonly known as the city of churches, hides another rich historical facet – it’s a city teeming with classic bars and pubs. Strolling through Adelaide, you’re likely to be captivated by its historic houses and striking churches. However, it’s the pubs that often steal the show. These establishments, some of the most majestic and historic in Australia, don’t always get the recognition they deserve. For instance, consider the Newmarket Hotel, a stunning three-story pub from 1883, which, though facing demolition, remains a significant piece of Adelaide’s history.

Another hidden gem is the Beresford Arms Inn on Gilles St. Though no longer operational, its magnificence is undeniable.
