Claimant details

Back in 2011 we, as in Dominico Blue Building (Ann and Tim Russell), bought this beautiful old building in the main street of Inverell. At the time it was the run down Inverell Tavern Pub. The whole building was a bit of a mess, it really needed some work done. Tim and Ann took on this momentous task of refurbishing the building to bring it new life and add an exciting new addition to Inverell, The Union Bar. The name came from the original purpose of the building, the Union Bank Australia, which was a lovely call back to the buildings history.
Tim and Ann have always had a passion for good coffee and great business, so it was decided that the building would become a Cafe/Bar. After the renovations were completed, the Union Bar opened to the public and was so well received! We were all so grateful to the customers and the community for the support on this endeavour. Our Union Bar staff (or should I say family) worked so hard each day to bring our customers only the best, and we will be forever grateful to them. Our manager at the time, Joel McNamara was such a huge help in the process and basically became one of the family, helping turning the Union Bar into a success and even going on to own the business a couple of years later. He later sold the business to move away, but do not worry, we got him back.
Now we are back once again, ready to breath new life into the beloved Union Bar! While we have our best ever coffee being served just outside at our other project, Obsession at the Union, by our lovely duo, Maddie Russell and Taylor Byrnes, We are working hard to bring you all something new and exciting inside this amazing building. We hope to see you back here soon, and know that we love and appreciate you all that have supported us over the years and continue to today.
