Hey you! Grandson Tristan here¢‚¬¦

Back in early 2013, using all of my Nan’s furniture, ornaments & treasured heirlooms, I opened up‚ Little Nan’s Bar‚ in a tiny windowless back room of my favorite nightclub near my home just off Deptford High Street.

I set up this bar in honor of my late Nan (known as‚ Little Nan Jojo‚ to many) with a mission to spoil guests with a nostalgic homely kitsch environment where my friends and local residents could spend time with friends and family whilst meeting the amazing community of Deptford.

Originally meant to be a beer & cider led bar,‚ Little Nan’s‚ signature‚ Teapot Cocktails‚ took the imagination of our guests, and now‚ Little Nan’s‚ is best known for her award winning Cocktails which come served in a whole array of kitsch vessels. Recently we love serving Cocktails in Vases!

All of our Cocktails are named after our loyal regulars, such as Lady Council Princess & Sebby Seb Seb, plus my Nan’s favourite celebrities including Queen Cilla Black & Lord Roy Walker along with her fav soap stars, including Lady Pat Butcher and Bet Lynch. We serve Cocktails just how‚ Little Nan‚ would like to drink them. We currently have over 70 cocktails to choose from in the menus which are actually hand written by me (and not an 8 year old child as some have asked!) Also, when it’s your Birthday let us know as‚ Little Nan‚ names a cocktail in your honour.

My Mum aka‚ Little Mum‚ (the daughter of‚ Little Nan) helped Cousin Jacqui & myself launch‚ Little Nan’s Afternoon Tea’s‚ in early 2014, where all bakes and cakes are still made using Little Nan’s vintage family recipe’s featuring the highlight of Little Mum’s 89 year old recipe raspberry jam.

In early 2014 we launched our ¢‚¬ËœLittle Nan’s Parties’ events bars company, enabling us to travel around spoiling guests silly at their private event. In the last 4 years we have run the bars at numerous Weddings, Parties, Events and Office parties. We love it!

In late 2014‚ Little Nan’s Bar‚ in Deptford was suddenly closed down due to landlord issues, and I was devastated beyond belief. But the support of our customers enabled‚ Little Nan’s‚ to spend 3 years popping up all across the capital including New Cross, Greenwich, Peckham, Dalston, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Brockley, Hackney, Lewisham, Forest Hill, Nunhead & a Royal Racecourse. We had so much fun and made so many good friends, whilst learning lots to refine what we offer you in what the bar has evolved into today.

For me and the rest of‚ Little Nan’s‚ Grandkids, it was all about getting back to Deptford to open up a permanent home for the bar. In September 2016, this dream came true and we moved into 2 Victorian arches within The Deptford Market Yard and spent all the money we saved up from our 2 year tour of London to give Deptford the kitsch palace she deserves. We are so happy to be home!

In February 2017 we launched our second permanent home within the‚ Catford Broadway Theatre, spoiling this special part of London with a kitsch art deco forest of dreams. We are so honoured to have been welcomed into the Catford community & would like to give special Thanks to the local Councillors & Lewisham Council for enabling us to have a second permanent home where you can often pop in for a chat with Granddaughter Clare and Grandson Stu.

In late 2017 we took on the vacant arch next to us in Deptford, doubling our capacity meaning we can now offer a private hire space in our 3rd Arch, which we are calling ¢‚¬ËœGrandads Shed’, themed on‚ Little Nan’s‚ fav top totters, Steptoe and Son.

Previously known for special occasion bookings, cocktails and weekend openings, our 2 permanent bars in Deptford & Catford are open daily, day and night, along with featuring fully stocked bars including cask ales, craft beers on tap, fine wines, premium spirits, hot mulled juices, frozen slushy’s and food, meaning you don’t just have to wait till the weekend to be spoilt by‚ Little Nan!

We are still hosting pop-ups across London and spreading the Love of‚ Little Nan’s. Recently in late 2017 we hosted a Royal themed pop up with‚ Stag and Bow‚ Forest Hill for 3 months, and we fell in love with this area.‚  Due to popular demand and community support, we have been allowed to continue this pop-up till the end of March 2018

We are also open to suggestions if you have a space and area in mind?

We literally could not have done all this without the support that you have all given us over the past 5 years. We owe everything to you all, and we love our guests and everyone who has been here over the past 5 years so very much.

Thank You!

See you soon….
