In the very heart of Split there is a tavern & bar Makarun which offers you the finest flavors of the Dalmatian cuisine.
Hidden behind the stone walls of the old palaces Makarun is a peaceful oasis which awaits to offer you the most superb gourmet experience. The interior of the tavern is decorated respecting the tradition of this building which was one of the first restaurants in old Split called “Kolombatovićâ€.
The specialty of our tavern is in homemade KorÄula's macaroni prepared according to the ancient methods of our ancestors.
We purchase fresh fish and meat only from local fishermen and farmers, which gives our grilled dishes special taste and smell.
The space is dominated by a massive wooden bar where we serve Croatian wine by the glass, cocktails and champagne.
Tavern & bar Makarun is open from 8 am when we serve breakfast; lunch with daily offer is served after 12 pm. We offer exclusive cocktail card and premium red and white wines of our best Croatian winemakers. In the afternoon we organize tasting of Croatian wines and champagnes, and the evening is reserved for romantic dinners and unforgettable gastronomic delight.
