Juliet Melbourne Little Bourke St over the past few decades, Melbourne has evolved to become the hub of style, culture, food and wine in Australia. As Melbourne’s identity has developed, so too has the need for spaces that are flexible, exciting and full of endless possibilities. Juliet Melbourne is this perfect city venue. Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, it is a place to meet, share ideas and dream about future successes.
Her ethos is simple – socialise, replenish and revitalise. The basement space is inspired by Melbourne’s passion for style, culture, food and music. Every Thursday jazz trio The Romeos are on hand to add to the warm ambience.
Juliet Melbourne is named in memory of a bygone era, when Liverpool and Crossley Streets, the adjoining laneways, were Juliet Terrace and Romeo Lane. The names were changed in the late 1800s, in an attempt to gentrify an area frequented in the past by ‘women and men of the night’.
Juliet Melbourne’s strong female name is a celebration of the amazing women who work in the industry. The wine, beer and spirit lists, and some of the food produce, is a nod to Australia’s female producers and artisans.
Whether it is melt-in-your-mouth Tasmanian raclette cheese or delicious cocktail, Juliet Melbourne is here to take you on a culinary journey to stimulate the senses.
The venue can cater for small and large groups, individuals and couples. Private functions are also welcome. Please visit our events and booking page for more information.
