Il progetto nasce nell’autunno 2009 ad opera di Antonio Parlapiano, Roberto Artusio e Leonardo Leuci, alcuni tra i migliori bartender della capitale,‚ ai quali si affiancher in seguito Alessandro Procoli.‚ Alla base lo scopo di creare un gruppo di condivisione delle informazioni, oltre alla crescita professionale, attraverso seminari tenuti dai migliori professionisti dell’industry.
A tal proposito viene‚ contattato Stanislav Vadrna, straordinario collega slovacco e ponte ideale tra lo stile giapponese e quello londinese del bartending.‚ Inizia cos¬ una collaborazione che porta l’ ¢‚¬Å“Analog Bartending Institute¢‚¬ di Stan in tre tra le maggiori citt italiane: Roma, Milano e Torino.
Durante l’organizzazione del primo dei tre, a Roma, si cementa la collaborazione tra i tre fondatori del gruppo anche grazie alle continue riunioni necessarie.‚ Una di queste riunioni avviene‚ presso quello che oggi ¨ il Jerry Thomas Speakeasy, durante la quale i tre vengono a sapere‚ che il locale ¨‚ in vendita.‚ Dopo una trattativa abbastanza veloce, il locale viene rilevato ed iniziano i lavori di ristrutturazione necessari allo sviluppo di un concetto del tutto innovativo per la scena dell’ospitalit italiana: lo ¢‚¬Å“Speakeasy Style Bar¢‚¬.
