Away from all stereotypes, El Cocinero is committed to redefining the gastronomic experience in Cuba with an intentional and second-hand cuisine. In the menu select international recipes are adapted from the island's distinctive ingredients. An imposing fireplace distinguishes the place located on the banks of the Almendares River between the neighborhoods of Vedado and Miramar. Designed as part of the boiler system in the offices of the Havana Streetcar at the end of the 19th century, the fireplace retains the identity of the famous peanut oil brand that took its place in 1930. The restaurant opts for a contemporary and minimalist decoration that harmonizes with the original architecture and in turn enhances it. The result is an exclusive space, decorated with subdued lighting and complicit music of the moment.
