Situated on Lyttelton's main drag, Civil & Naval is London Streets biggest little tapas bar. Serving distinct interpretations on classic tapas and larger sharing plates, the chef's emphasise simple, well executed and affordable European dishes.
Dine at bar and watch the cooking as it occurs in our open kitchen or chat to the bartenders whilst we show off our strong, well curated spirit & wine list. We focus on both small-scale international growers and distillers as well as boutique and family owned New Zealand producers
The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Cool off through the warmer months under the green canopy of our bricked courtyard or - when the sun lets you down - by one of the log fires. Civil & Naval is a casual yet simply styled space reflecting the hip sensibilities of the surrounding area while also paying tribute to Lyttelton's storied past.
