Here is what the media has to say…

“One of the longest-standing music clubs on the Frenchmen strip (in its former incarnation as the Dream Palace, it was the first bar on the block to feature live bands), the Blue Nile offers an eclectic listening menu most nights of the week — both in the street-facing showroom and the venue upstairs (which offers a spacious balcony). Recent shows have featured everything from DJ T-Roy’s reggae party to the Soul Rebels Brass Band to the Washboard Chaz Blues Trio. Tip: Check out the upstairs, where late-night DJ parties go down with a balcony view of Frenchmen Street.” Times Picayune

“Ritzy blue and gold decor sets the mood for this music club staged in an 1832 building, reportedly the first constructed on Frenchmen Street. The club offers a full bar and live national and international bands perform in venues upstairs and down, and theres a balcony overlooking Frenchmen Street.” Gambit Weekly

“One of the best nightclubs in New Orleans, Blue Nile is a famous live music venue where many renowned artists like Kermit Ruffins, Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews and Soul Rebels Brass Band regularly perform. A jazzy decor with a combination of blue and gold gives the venue a very unique vibe. The two story club also rents out the party room for special occasions. A must visit in New Orleans if you want to catch some great live performances.” Yahoo

DIRECTIONS: The Blue Nile is located just a block from the French Quarter in the historic Faubourg Marigny, between Esplanade and Chartres Streets. It is a short cab or Uber ride from anywhere in the French Quarter or CBD.
