Ever since the Magic City saw the Orange Bowl crumble in 2008, Miami sports fans were left with a void that most thought would never be filled €“ Until now. Enter €œBlack Market Miami,€ a sports bar that calls upon the nostalgia of eighties Miami, a time where the Hurricanes reigned supreme in the college football landscape, when Dan Marino would become the face of Miami sports, and the rest of the country looked at our oasis as a €˜Paradise Lost. Cash was king in a lawless city during a time where OUR Miami began to take shape. Black Market Miami is a place that invites you to take pride in our citys past, both the good and the bad, because it is this rich history that made us who we are.
Located in the heart of Downtown Miami, Black Market is the brainchild of the Red Rabbit Presents team. Having occupied four different offices on SE 1st Street over the last seven years, it was the logical step for principles Shane Vernon, Erick Passo, and Michael Mora to open up their first venue on that same street. Born and raised in Miami, the Red Rabbit team has witnessed the growth of the citys Nightlife and Entertainment industry first hand. With bars, lounges, and clubs coming and going like the changing of the tides; it was imperative for the Red Rabbit team to be at the right place, at the right time, with the right concept for the city to really rally behind.
With a space spanning 5,500 square feet, guests will be engulfed by over thirty 4k TVs, and design elements reflective of the eighties nostalgia that Black Market encompasses. Black Market will be a sports bar for Miamians, by Miamians, but welcoming to fans of all sports from all cities. Guests can choose from plush banquet seating, stools at the bar, or one of the many high top tables filling out the rest of the space. Black Market will also feature a private area available to large groups who are looking to reserve a more intimate setting to watch their favorite sporting events. With weekly happy hours, game day specials, seasonal Capirinaha and Moscow Mule offerings, and a rotation of special guest DJs on weekend nights; Black Market Miami marks the ultimate sports lounge and nightlife destination for game night eating, drinking, parties, and events.
