The Bar Cellar Pulpera was founded in the year 1970 by a Galician couple with the idea of ¢‚¬€¹¢‚¬€¹bringing to Barcelona the best of its gastronomic tradition. That year, the Celta de Vigo CF soccer team had climbed to the first division, and that gave the happy Galician a good start to baptize his bar. With this honest declaration of identity and intentions, highlighting its culture and roots, our pulpera was born. Today, the second and third generation of the same family keep alive what that marriage raised in the decade of the seventies, with the same dedication and the same taste for Galician cuisine. The Celta Bar opened at number 16 on Calle de la Merced, in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, which at that time was the nerve center of Barcelona’s young nights. The product and the popular prices made “the Celta” from a good beginning a resounding success and the girl from the eyes of Barcelona’s youth to go for tapas, relax with their friends and start the party. From September 2012, we opened the doors of the new store located on Calle Princesa, 50, in the heart of Borne, the emblematic district of Barcelona. Today, the Borne is the most “in” neighborhood of our city thanks to its endless offer of shops, bars, restaurants and cultural that fill its streets, making it the favorite neighborhood of Barcelona and the most visited by tourists . In a privileged street intersection, in Princesa con Comercio, our grocery store now lives. relax with your friends and start the party.
