Originally from New Mexico, Preston Brown has lived in Houston, Texas for 25+ years and has 13+ years’ experience in brewing beer and distilling spirits, as well as creating the occasional mead or wine. Before opening The Grain Cellar, Preston’s “day job” was in oil & gas as an IT Director, but his play time has been spent as a co-host, with Jon Denman, of the popular Drink of Ages talk radio show and former President of the Rogue Brewers Coalition Homebrew Club. He enjoys camping, fishing, traveling, Ham radio, and rebuilding/restoring vintage automobiles. Preston is also a member of Shriners North America.
