Atlas Restaurant Supply

Atlas was started April 28, 1965 by Thomas S. Vavul and Joe Bajdak, selling restaurant supplies and equipment at 52410 U.S. 31 North on the north side of South Bend, IN. In 1970 they were joined by Thomas B. Vavul who became the third partner. In 1976 Thomas S. Vavul became the sole stockholder in the company.

We are currently headquartered at 52245 St. Rd. 933 in South Bend, Indiana. This location consists of a 46,000 square foot building with a full service show room, offices, and a warehouse. A second location was opened in 1989 at 3329 N. Shadeland Ave. in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our third store opened in 1994 at 2244 S. Division St. in Grand Rapids, MI. The most recent store opened in 2001 at 929 N. Coliseum St. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 2008 our Indianapolis store was renovated, and added a 12,000 square foot full service showroom.
