The Building of the Old Town and Country Tavern was Completed with Opening Day on 25th of March 1991 and instantly began a must go to place, with Tab and Gaming Facilities, 120 seater Dining Room, 100 seat Function room with Church Arched Roofing throughout and Drive through Bottle shop and childrens playroom , in 1994 the Tavern went through a Renovation with another 60 seat Dining room with fire place added, 100 seat Function room and a large gaming Room with a Mississippi River Boat Steamer exterior added in 1998.
New owners with over 30 years of operating pubs purchased the tavern in 2012 and set in motion a $1 Million dollar plus renovation that would transform the tavern into Modern Dining and Entertainment venue for Wangaratta, With a, Multi Screen T.A.B facilities, increased seating for the Bistro with Booth seating added and a Seasonal Menu, inviting environment with Foxtel in every Bar and Dining area, New Gaming room , new 200 seat function room with Life Size “Ned Kelly” Statue protecting your door way, glycol system for the coldest Beer and Cider on Tap in town.
A Members Draw every Friday Night with Social Club Raffle ,Bingo run by Greyhound club of Wangaratta, Social game of Mah-jong on Thursday afternoons , a fun Game of Where’s Ned on our facebook page.
