We are continually looking for new ways to add value to our community. As Cairns is geographically isolated from Queensland’s capital, (and therefore also the concentration of government funding,) many local charities, schools and sporting groups rely heavily on the backing from Cairns businesses and other organisations. We make financial contributions, by giving money in response to special appeals, we support national community service events and we contribute to the fundraising efforts of our local schools. We have a range of resources that can be given in kind, including the use of our function and meeting rooms. We also encourage our people to donate their time to help local communities by providing specialist skills, management advice and assistance with events and programs.
In selecting its community partners Brothers Leagues Club looks for groups that have a positive impact on issues that affect the local area. We love to support the welfare of the youth, the health of the local population and in particular helping promote and develop local sporting groups who encourage a healthier lifestyle for all demographics within our region.
