Whiskey or Whisky? What’s the difference?
Whiskey, whisky, and beyond. What are the differences? On Trend What are the differences? Remember
Controversial ‘lockout laws’ definitely toned down Sydney’s nightlife. Sydney still loves to party, and there are still plenty of places around, maybe just in a different form.
When you say Soda Factory, you think of all-night-long parties, classic retro tunes, and cheerful party vibes. The Soda Factory is a fun spot for teenagers and travelers. It offers one of Sydney’s most affordable dinners and movies on Mondays, and one-dollar hot dogs on Tuesdays. It’s hard to imagine how hectic the queues are. Come and see it for yourself!
Frankie’s Pizza is the city-center basement bar, a live-music venue, pizza cafe, and pinball museum all under the same roof. It doesn’t fit into any conventional category, but it guarantees a good night out seven days a week. Don’t miss rock and roll parties on Fridays and during the weekend until 3 AM! You can expect old photos on the walls, candles in bottles, red and white tablecloths, and excellent pizzas. And, yes, this classic pizza restaurant in the business district is the best rock’n’roll venue Sydney has ever seen.
Home Nightclub has been around for a very long time, and there is a good reason why. Home has hosted some of the best DJs from all over the world and is known as one of the trendiest party spots in Sydney. This multi-level club has an awesome rooftop that overlooks Darling Harbour.
Amar NightClub / Restaurant & Social Bondi has taken over Bondi. Amar takes after lots of famous US nightclubs like TAO. They have a classy and sophisticated restaurant that turns into a nightclub. If you are looking for a venue to celebrate your birthday or any other event, Amar is the perfect spot.
If you are looking for live music, the nightclub Oxford Arts is one of the rare live music venues on Oxford Street which still exists. Enjoy incredible international and local gigs. Inspired by Warhol’s Factory in The Big Apple, this venue welcomes indie electronic producers, local acts, and DJs.
Kandy Saturdays is one of the best events in Sydney. It takes place on the 2nd floor of the Shark Hotel on Liverpool street. The Two rooms offer reggaeton, salsa & Latino music, and RnB Party Anthems. What a place to be.
Fridays to Sundays Club 77 is one of Sydney’s most vibrant nightclubs. Club 77 is the perfect spot for all the fans of house music. They have some of the best local DJ’s who really get people dancing. They are also a bit more laidback on entry conditions, with most dresscodes accepted.
The Cliff is the spot if you are looking for a wild nightclub but not so snobby as the super clubs. The Cliff Dive is a tiki bar/club in Paddington, open from Friday to Sunday. With tiki cocktails and great RnB DJs, it’s the spot for anyone who loves to party.
The Argyle has everything. It offers great food, drinks, some of the best DJs, and plenty of different areas to enjoy your night. The Argyle throws some pretty good events and food deals. They are open till late six days a week (closed Monday).
Last but not least, you have to head over to the North shore. The pickled possum has a lot of history. If you can imagine Las Vegas super club, the pickled possum is the opposite of that. They serve drinks from a blue esky and have karaoke on most nights. Trust me, it will be a night to remember.
